PTFE envelope gaskets are composite gaskets consisting of an insert (core) encased in a PTFE envelope, resulting in a gasket with the chemical resistance of PTFE and the strength and resilience of the core material. The manufacture of PTFE envelopes requires dense PTFE of superior quality to achieve optimum mechanical properties. Applications: GREAT PTFE envelope gaskets are the ideal solution for applications demanding virtually 100% chemical resistance and where the mechanical properties of a compressed gasket material are also needed. They perform whell in the food and process industries where contamination of the medium cannot be permitted.
